Friends of San Jose Family Camp is a volunteer‑driven nonprofit dedicated to protecting, improving, and expanding access to San Jose Family Camp at Yosemite. For more than 50 years, we’ve helped families experience the magic of camp — towering pines, river trails, campfire traditions, and time together in nature.
Our mission is simple: make Family Camp accessible to everyone. Through campership grants, community fundraising, and hands‑on volunteer projects, we support the programs and facilities that keep camp thriving for future generations. Whether you’ve been coming to camp for decades or are discovering it for the first time, we’re here to ensure that every family has the opportunity to enjoy this unforgettable Yosemite experience.

Wilderness Within Reach — Coming This October
Our biggest annual fundraiser, Wilderness Within Reach, returns this October — a community celebration dedicated to making San Jose Family Camp accessible to underserved families. Through campership grants and support for camp improvements, this event helps ensure that financial barriers never stand in the way of experiencing the outdoors.
